Because this is a highly roasted blend with an intensity level 11, it’s also quite bitter and rich, but not harsh. Nevertheless, if you find it a little too much for your taste, you can easily turn it into a nice cup of coffee by hitting the brew button a second time, or create a cappuccino or latte out of it by using milk.

This is also due to the specific extraction process used here – a combo of short pre-wetting, a slow flow and a high extraction temperature.
