Basics Of Storing Avocados

Freezing half avocados is also possible. You will just need to remove the pit and scoop them out to a baking sheet. Do not slice. Freeze it over the night before removing it from the baking sheet or tray and putting it into a sealed container. They have a shelf life of almost 3 months. The most important thing is to choose avocadoes that are perfectly ripe so that they will not be very mushy after you thaw them.
Mashed avocados can also be stored in the freezer and refrigerator. If you intend to cook or eat the mashed avocados the next day, then keep the mashed product in a tightly-covered glass container. It is important to remove any bubbles in the mixture and you can add half-an-inch of water at the top before putting the cover tightly. Consume on the next day.
To store mashed fruit in the freezer, add some lemon juice to the puree before pouring them out into a silicone tray and leave it to freeze overnight. Once the cubes have set, transfer to a sealed container and keep in the freezer.
